月桂(月桂科)

• 生长缓慢的树可以长到59英尺高. It smooth, shiny leaves and small, yellow flowers that appear in the spring; these mature over the summer and develop into purple-blackish berries in the fall which contain one seed.
• 叶子可以用来调味，也可以给汤增加浓郁的味道. 警告:樟科的一些成员具有相似的特征是有毒的. 只食用特定种类的鱼
• 叶子中含有精油, terpenes, linalool, geraniol, terpineol, 还含有月桂酸.
• 偏爱排水良好的土壤.
